Outdoor Dining Favorites from Panama City to 30A (That Are Toddler-Approved)

Looking for dinner, drinks, and a view? You’re in the right place.

Let’s be honest — this is Florida. The weather is unpredictable and often deceiving. But when it does cooperate, there’s nothing better than dining outside with the breeze and the little ones having fun too!

As a local mom, here’s the scoop on some of our favorite patio, open-air, and outdoor dining spots from Panama City to 30A, all tried and true.

Our Family Favorite

The Bay (South Walton)
This is our go-to. Consistently great food (the sushi is a must!), happy hour vibes, and a laid-back setting. There’s a sandy area out back where kids can run and play while you enjoy your drink. Bonus: you can boat there!

More Favorites on 30A

  • Shunk Gulley – casual with great views and fresh oysters

  • Fish Out of Water – upscale but still welcoming

  • Bud & Alley’s – a 30A classic

  • Old Florida Fish House – often has live music and a beautiful setting

Panama City Spots

  • Boondocks – great on the water, relaxed vibes

  • The Grand Marlin – seafood and sunsets

  • Schooners – beachfront dining, always a win

  • Uncle Ernie’s – historic and family-friendly

  • The Deckhand SocialA MUST for families! There’s a pool out back so kids can swim while parents relax and eat. Yes, you can also boat here too!
